STATE-WIDE CONSORTIUM-BASED TRAINING APPLICATION PROCESS
All basic physician training in Victoria is now provided through cluster
groups of metropolitan, urban and rural hospitals or Consortia.
Compass 6 Consortium includes rotations across both St Vincent's
Hospital, Geelong Hospital, Werribee Mercy, CGHS (Sale), Warrnambool &
Hamilton Hospitals.
We offer a programme with all rotations accredited by the Royal
Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), and is focussed upon
candidates preparing for Part 1 (clinical and written) of the RACP
examination.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Positions are filled via a State-wide Computer Matching
process conducted by the Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV
- see links page).
In addition to applying to the constituent tertiary
hospitals of Compass 6 (St Vincent's Health or Barwon Health),
applicants must also register for the Match via the PMCV's online
matching service.

SELECTION PROCESS
Candidates will be ranked on the basis of their application, referee
reports, personal interview and academic history, with a priority list
submitted to PMCV for the Computer Match. REFEREE
ASSESSMENT
The Referee Assessment process is managed via the PMCV computer matching
website.
INTERVIEWS
Personal interviews will be conducted with short-listed candidates.
